Ant-Man (2015) - Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) |
Back in 2012, Edgar Wright was trying to convince Marvel studios that they should make a movie about Ant-Man. In order to prove his point he quickly filmed a test scene outlying his vision of the movie. It was incredibly popular and when they showed it at San Diego Comic-Con during Marvel Studios Hall H panel it proved that movie fans could embrace the idea. While Edgar Wright left the film the scene did end up in the final Ant-Man movie in a slightly different form. One of the storyboard artists on the film shared an animatic that he created back in 2012 to show how it was visualized.
Federico D'Alessandro is the head storyboard artist and Animatics Supervisor at Marvel Studios, and has worked on films like Thor (2011), Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) and Iron Man 3 (2013).
