Welcome to Flashback Friday where I feature artwork from classic science-fiction movies or tv shows. Today's feature is Ant-Man (2015).

The next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is in full swing and the next Marvel Studios movie is Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021). The movie opens next Friday, September 3, 2021. Six years ago an unlikely hero was brought to the silver screen. The movie features a superhero who can shrink to the size of an ant.

It was a gamble but the studio pulled it off thanks, in part to stunning visual effects. The movie even earned a BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) nomination for "Best Achievement in Special Visual Effects". One of the skilled artists working on the film is Danelle Davenport.

Davenport is a professional concept artist who's worked on big-budget projects like The Tomorrow War (2021), Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), and the upcoming Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021).
