Welcome to Flashback Friday where I feature artwork from classic science-fiction movies or tv shows. Today's feature is Hulk (2003).
One of the most popular characters in the MCU is Hulk played by Edward Norton and Mark Ruffalo. Ruffalo last appeared in Avengers: Endgame and fans have been looking forward to him returning. But recently, on The Graham Norton Show he said he's not sure if he's returning. "Who knows really? " when asked if he was returning. "It is supposed to be over and that was supposed to be the end." Fans would be disappointed if it really is the end.
Over a decade ago the Hulk made his first big-screen appearance in Ang Lee's Hulk. While the response was mixed it did feature the appearance of three Gamma-Mutated dogs nicknamed "Hulk Dogs". The dogs first appeared in Incredible Hulk #14 back in 2000. In the movie three dogs - a Poodle, Bull Mastiff, and a Pit Bull - are mutated by Bruce's father David and sent to kill Betty Ross. The group has a fight in the woods. I've previously shown the concept art of the Hulk-Dogs by Sang Jun Lee and Kevin Nowlan. Now you can see a new look of the dogs that show them much bigger than in the movie. They come from Michael Anthony Jackson's profile page.
Michael Anthony Jackson is a professional storyboard artist who's worked on big-budget projects like Thor: Ragnarok (2017), Iron Man (2008), and Suicide Squad (2016).
