One of the breakout stars of Disney's Star Wars show The Mandalorian is "The Child". Known affectionally by fans as "Baby Yoda". He's a 50-year old baby that has captured hearts and minds.
Co-Star Werner Herzog called the little guy "heartbreaking". "On the set, it looked absolutely convincing," Herzog told Variety at "The Mandalorian" fan premiere in Los Angeles. "It made you cry when you saw it. I saw two technicians operating it remote[ly] — one was for the eyes and the mouth and the other was for other facial expressions. It's a phenomenal technical achievement and beyond the technological achievement, it’s heartbreaking."
The whole show is wonderful and one of the many talented artists working on the show is Christian Alzmann. Alzmann is a professional concept artist who's worked on big budget projects like Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, and The Hunger Games.
