Did you know we almost had the Pogo Plane in Fantastic Four? The latest Fantastic Four film is one of the biggest box office bombs of 2015. But back in 2005, there was another Fantastic Four film that was panned. I enjoyed it, but many complained about the light-hearted tone. It was faithful to the source material though. It even had some of the signature Fantastic Four elements like the Baxter Building. But, one of the most iconic elements of the Reed Richard's super-team - the Pogo Plane - never made it past the drawing board. Now, thanks to artist Patrick Janicke, we can see what it might have looked like.
Patrick Janicke is a professional concept illustrator who's worked on big budget movies like Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009), Steven Spielberg's Robopocalypse (2013) and Batman & Robin (1997).
The Pogo Plane is the Fantastic Four's original Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) long-range vehicle. Here's what it looked like in the comics.
Here are some more views of the Transformation Chamber, Baxter Building, Reed's lab and Dr. Doom's creepy monitoring station

What do you think of the concept art? If you've seen Fantastic Four what do you think of the movie? Would you have enjoyed the Pogo Plane?
