See What Furiosa Almost Looked Like in MAD MAX: FURY ROAD Concept Art by Peter Pound

Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) - Furiosa (Charlize Theron)
Check out Mad Max: Fury Road concept art by Peter Pound!

The development of Mad Max: Fury Road was a turbulent one, but it started back in 1998. Director George Miller was walking through L.A. had the idea of violent marauders "fighting, not for oil or for material goods, but for human beings." 17 years later, the Mad Max sequel is a massive hit, but that's a long time to develop a film. Usually a lot of changes happen, but the artwork dated from 2000 is just as beautifully insane as the final movie is. One of the artists working in pre-production over a decade ago was Peter Pound and he recently shared some work on the film and shows a different take on the familiar characters and vehicles.

Peter Pound is a professional concept and storyboard artist who's worked on Hollywood films like Dark City (1998), Man-Thing (2005) and The Crow (1994).
