You've already seen the mutant Jubilee that was cut from the latest X-Men movie thanks to Phillip Boutte Jr., but now see the awesome Juggernaut costume that was also cut at the last minute.

When creating the story for X-Men: Days of Future Past screenwriter Simon Kinberg planned that Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) and Professor Xavier (James McAvoy) would break Magneto (Michael Fassbender) out of the Pentagon thanks to help from a young Juggernaut. But director Bryan Singer felt it was too familiar and wanted something that the audience had never seen before. Kinberg said, "[Singer] felt like we had sort of exhausted, visually, Juggernaut’s powers in [X-Men: The Last Stand], and so he wanted a new character, a new kind of visual power, that we could explore." So, the character was replaced with the fast moving Quicksilver (Evan Peters).

The decision happened after casting Josh Helman for the role. Helman told IGN, "I originally got hired on a different role, which is no longer in the script -- it was going to be young Juggernaut. So I was like, ‘Oh, s#!t. I’ve got to put on like 30 pounds!’ So I was training for like four weeks, and then I got a phone call saying, 'Good news and bad news. Bad news first: Juggernaut’s no longer in the script. Good news: They’re having trouble with another role and they want to see you for it.'" Helman ended up playing young Major Bill Stryker and we got the insanely cool Quicksilver scene. But, thanks to concept art art by artist Anthony Jones we can see what he could have looked like along with alternate looks for Iceman and Trask's soldiers. They were first discovered by Nailbiter111 at ComicBookMovie.com.

  1. Really awesome look, although I do miss the bullet head armor he has in the comics. Then again, if he's indestructible, why wear armor?

  2. Funny how they take one image of the actor and dress him up. Cut out dolls for adults.
