Sometimes great concept art looks just like a photograph. Sometimes great concept art looks better than a photograph. Christian Lorenz Scheurer's work is like that. It shimmers and glows brighter than anything you'll see in real-life and is exquisite. He's one of the many talented artists working on the sequel to 300 and he recently shared concept art from the film on his site.
Scheurer is a concept artist and illustrator currently working in the film industry on Hollywood films like Man of Steel (2013), Superman Returns (2006) and The Fifth Element (1997).

Better than a photograph - most definitely. I haven't seen either 300 movie. I like the artwork, though.
ReplyDeleteI like the way it sets the tone, which is dark.
ReplyDeleteThe movie has some great lines, and I liked the cinematography that Larry Fong does. Can't wait to see him and Zack Snyder again together.
