In the opening of X-Men Origins: Wolverine there's a montage of Logan (Hugh Jackman) and Victor Creed (Liev Schreiber) fighting in all the major wars since the Civil War. The section that follows them in the 1800s only lasts a few seconds. We mainly just see Logan getting shot at. But storyboards by Tim Burgard shows it could have been a longer scene with him popping claws and taking out soldiers. Tim said it's one of many revisions of the opening montage. Check out the storyboards below.
Timothy Burgard is a professional illustrator and storyboard artist who's worked on major motion pictures like Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011), Thor (2011) and X-Men: The Last Stand (2006).

X-Men Origins: Wolverine tells the story of Wolverine's epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe whose appearances in the film series have long been anticipated.
