Breath-Taking OBLIVION Concept Art by Harold Belker, Tom Tenery and Andrée Wallin

Check out Oblivion concept art by Andrée Wallin, Harald Belker and Thom Tenery!

Oblivion has some of the most beautiful concept art I've seen this year which I decided to share all the concept art I've found in one big post.

The galleries below are by three key concept artists involved: Andrée Wallin, Harald Belker and Thom Tenery. Wallin was the first to work on the production with director Joseph Kosinski and even helped him design an illustrated graphic novel for others involved in the production.

Wallin is a professional concept artist and matte painter working out of Sweden who's worked on video games and big budget movies like Godzilla (2011). Belker is a professional concept illustrator who's worked on Hollywood films like Star Trek Into Darkness (2013), Iron Man (2008) and TRON: Legacy (2010). Tenery is a professional concept artist who's worked for major directors like Robert Rodriguez, Robert Zemeckis and Barry Sonnenfeld.

  1. I've been oblivious to "Oblivion" and haven't seen it but must say I do like the intricacies of Tenery's concept art. By far, Wallin's work is my favorite of the three artists because it feels alive, like it puts you there in the scene and there is so much depth in the dimensions of each scene that I can't help but to be in awe. I doubt I'll be watching the movie anytime soon, however, the concept art behind the film definitely gets much props from me! Go Wallin!

  2. That third set with the components was really impressive.

  3. Really enjoyed Oblivion, and that artwork is incredible!

  4. I enjoyed Wallin's artwork the most, followed by Tenery. Not so much on the first guy. I did see the movie. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it. I'm not sure the ending was really a happy ending, though I saw it coming and resigned myself to it. The artwork is fantastic, though.

  5. Just finished watching the extras of oblivion. I wish there was an official art book. Thanks for sharing!

  6. It really is a shame since the film is beautiful Bryan. Thank you for visiting!
