"I can't...make him a rocket scientist who can make the mechanical web shooters and a formula of adhesive that is air drying that even 3M couldn't make at this time." Sam Raimi said to explain why he took away the mechanical web-shooters when he made his Spider-Man films. Now they're back.
Amazingly enough, they're pretty easy to make.
To prove it, the Facebook page for The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) has detailed 3-D concept art of exactly how to make Peter Parker's trademark webshooters.
Here's the official synopsis:
See? Pretty simple eh? I'm going to make some purple ones myself.
If anyone knows the artist who made these please let me know.
Would you make a pair of webshooters like Spider-Man? What do you think of the illustrations?

Here's the official synopsis:
"The Amazing Spider-Man" is the story of Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Martin Sheen) and Aunt May (Sally Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance – leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero. Here are the designs and I have no idea who created them.

Probably not is the short and blunt answer but hey this brings back my good ol' spidey days when I was little! I'd nearly forgotten how fun these Spiderman lyrics are! Maybe I will try making a spidey webshooter after all!
ReplyDeleteSpiderman, Spiderman,
Does whatever a spider can.
Spins a web, any size,
Catches thieves just like flies.
Look out! Here comes the Spiderman.
Is he strong? Listen bud—
He's got radioactive blood.
Can he swing from a thread?
Take a look overhead.
Hey there! There goes the Spiderman.
In the chill of the night,
At the scene of the crime,
Like a streak of light,
He arrives just in time!
Spiderman, Spiderman,
Friendly neighborhood Spiderman.
Wealth and fame, he's ignored—
Action is his reward.
To him,
Life is a great big bang-up—
Wherever there's a hang-up,
You'll find the Spiderman!
Commander Spacey, bringing it back old school!
