Weta Workshop worked with director Neill Blomkamp on several other films and again teamed up with him to visualize Chappie. Working with concept artists like Christian Pearce and Lori Greer the robots were designed by director Neill Blomkamp and Weta Ditigal. Hull was called to help out after and he shared some work he did on set pieces and details on Facebook.

George Hull is a professional concept artist who's worked on Hollywood movie like The Amazing Spider-Man (2012), Battleship (2012) and Marvel's The Avengers (2012).
