Check out Black Panther concept art by Ryan Meinerding!

It's been a long time coming, but we finally have Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe! Yesterday, Marvel announced T-Challa will appear in the Captain America: The Winter Soldier sequel Captain America: Civil War before appearing in his own solo movie in 2017. At the event they gave out posters featuring concept art of Black Panther's costume created by Ryan Meinerding.

Ryan Meinerding is Marvel Studios Head of Visual Development and a character designer and entertainment artist who's worked on blockbuster movies like Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) and Iron Man 3 (2013)

Here's what Black Panther looked like in his first comic book appearance back in Fantastic Four #52 (1966).

As you can see he looks pretty similar except he's missing the cape and collar and the fabric has the militarized look of the Avenger's movie costumes.

His look has more in common with the Ultimate Black Panther comics.
